ECMA Award Winning Canadian/London-based artist, songwriter and producer Laura Roy releases her single 'Sunrise' from her highly anticipated upcoming 'Tides' EP (featuring a songwriting collaboration with Lianne La Havas) after collaborating with UK producer/artist Geo Jordan to create a project that blends Laura's early folk/singer songwriter influences from her upbringing in rural Nova Scotia, Canada with her love for classic and contemporary R&B. 'Sunrise' is a soulful, up-beat song for the summer playlist that showcases a newer side to Laura's music with an honest reflection of her journey and a more introspective exploration of her identity. 'Water' and "Not Afraid" the first two single releases from Laura's upcoming EP have received multiple spins on BBC London Radio with Amelia Poamz, Capital xtra, Platform B Radio in Brighton, as well as landing as Apple Music New in R&B Playlist spot, and Spotify Editorial Playlist Fresh Finds - New Wave. These first releases from the EP have been feature interview pieces and added to playlists by Clash Magazine, Dummy Mag, Wordplay Magazine (Interview), as well as being the primary feature on New Friday Friday Somewhere Soul, The Blues Project - Track of the Week, Earmilk Blog feature, and a live performance/interview on Mixcloud's Fab's Future Sounds 2.0.
