High Focus Records is proud to present Edward Scissortongue's highly anticipated sophomore release. Having already spun a hypnotic web of dystopian rule on his acclaimed debut outing 'BETTER.LUCK.NEXT.LIFE', Scissortongue returns with 'THE THEREMIN EP' - a project that further purges the depths of the human condition and expands upon what it means to 'exist'. An artistic and dark vision of the future over dope beats. "When the eclipse of the Sun will then be, The monster (divine omen) will be seen in plain daylight: Quite otherwise will one interpret it, High price unguarded: none will have provided for it." - Nostradamus, Century 3, Quatrain 34 High Focus Records is proud to present Edward Scissortongue's highly anticipated sophomore release on the HF imprint. 'THE THEREMIN EP' flirts with the past, addresses the present, but is predominantly concerned with the future. In this respect it is equal parts 'real' and 'unreal'. Rife with haunting prose and potent imagery, 'THE THEREMIN EP' examines several of the more morbid sides of his imagination and showcases Scissortongue at his most visceral and storytelling best. It foretells the grisliness around the corner, be it collectively or individually, be it fantastical or wholeheartedly real. Embellishing reality is where Edward Scissortongue finds most joy as an artist. He finds marrying reality with fantasy to be his most rewarding playing ground. 'THE THEREMIN EP' is his most comprehensive stab to date at bending the things he sees and feels into something new; a roster of alternate 'endings' if you will... Speaking on the new release Edward Scissortongue explains: "THE THEREMIN EP is the concept record I have been dreaming of writing ever since I began making music. As a piece of music, it fluxes and shifts in-and-around one overriding thematic. As a result, there is no beginning, middle or end point. This runs through everything - the music, the videos, the artwork, the teaser trailers, everything. In this respect everyone should be able to find something to associate with among the stories on display."
