(WW - 10/07/2010) A.C. Layne also known as TE1, like the meaning of his artist name (The Esoteric), is one of a kind. He is a producer/engineer of sorts whose journey through making music has been like a long seminar, lecture or training in how to perfect making music; and with TE1 still mastering his skills, class won't be in recession anytime soon! This producer/engineer that grew up with a great love for music in the Layne's household, where music was most imperative, found an even greater love for making music. Entering a local community program that educated young-ones in music production, TE1 got involved in the Music Avenues Project in 2001. TE1 has an ear for different genres of music, having done everything from soul, r&b, hip hop to house, he simply strived to make music that feels right to him. In view to pursue better promotion of his music, he decided to put his music out (first through MySpace) rapidly meeting like-minded producers and artists around the world. In 2006 he collaborated on his first project with Kansas based artist and producer Miles Bonny; together they released the EP Closer Love through the great German imprint, Melting Pot Music (Suff Daddy, Dj Day, Lefties Soul Connection, Marc Hype,...). This would result in him also becoming a part of the INnatesounds collective (Daru, Reggie B, Deep Thinkers,...), a collective based in Kansas, founded by Miles Bonny. The record found its way through international airwaves including the US, UK, Germany and Japan just to name a few. This led to more collaborations overseas that included work for New York rapper Phase One and Kansas singer and producer Reggie B. Also sharing a lot of time with UK emcee, producer and engineer Incisive, TE1 managed to stretch his musical talent even more as his fellow producer lent a hand in him upgrading his engineering skills and outlook to the music industry. Over the course of his short career, TE1 has been surrounded by producers and talents including the likes of Femi Fem, Miss Laidlaw, M.E., Propa, Billy Ray, Phil Asher, Daz I Kue, producers collective Uprock Recordings and even Grammy Award winning producer 9th Wonder and his True School Collective. http://www.myspace.com/te1productions
