Abducted Beatz
Notorious B.I.G., Wyclef Jean, Ol' Dirty Bastard & P Diddy have all sampled their productions! Now you've got the chance to go back to the roots and hear what the hype was all about. For the first time 'The Nubian Crackers' are available online! In 1991, on a warm sunny day in New York City, these two DJ's from Queens (Prince Quick Mix & The Undercover Brother) got fed up with the poor selection of quality break beats that were available to DJ's & MC's. So they decided to release their own Hard to Find - Old Skool Breaks. They figured why not 'share the wealth" with DJ's & MC's from around the globe? And so 'The Nubian Crackers' were formed. The impact of their 'Cracker Beats' on the Hip Hop community is legendary, but it's only half the story. In 93 they were nominated for having "The Phattest Kick Drum in Hip Hop" by the Digital Underground and have released a steady stream of singles that have become East Coast Classics in their own right. Toss that in with having some of the world's most influential hip hop artists sample their productions and The Nubian Crackers have rightfully earned the respect of their peers as well as their place in Hip Hop History... so if you didn't know... now you know
