After the release of the tracks "Maytrix" then "Something Special" in duo with Ayelle, Maydien launches today its new EP "Maytrix" composed of 5 tracks. "Super Sick" is the lead single. Produced by ROMderful, Maydien says: "I needed funk on the EP. The instrumental put me in a rather fun vibe and I wanted to add a touch of humour. The chorus is catchy and stays well in mind! » This composition features Maydian's hybrid style between hip-hop, neo-Soul and future beat, with very groove bass lines. A few words from Maydian about the EP: "People always call me May. I see my songs as tricks. I wanted to show my diversity on this project and that connected me with the movie 'The Matrix'. I found a way to use some elements and managed to balance that out within my stories. "Maytrix" reveals the artist's timeless approach and transports us through several atmospheres at once: muffled, jazzy and dancing, all carried by a burst of positive energy. Maydien will be playing live at Contre~Courant on July 5.
