Richard Jansen was Singapore's first major Myspace artist that hit the big time - In recent years, he released music on Kartel (MY) and part of the duo Trick that was signed to Sony Music Entertainment. But left it all to focus on family and his solo project. His lead single 'Tamagotchi' from his album 'Yours Truly' is currently making the rounds and has garnered over 130,000 streams on digital platforms. 'VIEWS' will be the first release of 2019, written, performed and produced by Richard Jansen featuring upcoming rapper Xuede from the Philippines. The record was produced on a mobile app called 'Auxy'. He found that it was pretty cool idea the way technology and software are rapidly improving, this process was something refreshing. "Having been in studios with producers using all these top end softwares/instruments, i've seen it all. I figured, i wanted to take a step back, limit myself with minimal resources and see what actually happens - do it all on my own, produce/write/record/mix, all with an iPhone, iMac GB and a mic/interface. It started out as something for fun that just happen to evolve into like a full run."
