The first official Deep Root Records release of the decade, COSSY's Time's Up EP bursts forth with astral urgency on the title track. Synths twitter and warble over a punching bass, racing like quicksilver through each drop, soft claps transition into "GO GO." Unlike the warbled melodies of "Time's Up," "GO GO's" pulse around every beat, accenting the seductive polyrhythms hidden in that sweetly familiar four-on-the-floor pattern. "Don't Mess With The 808" closes the EP with a battle cry, a final warning siren for anyone still afraid to lose themselves on the dancefloor.
