Having developed his fan base in Quebec and in Africa (more than 10k fans across Ivory Coast, Algeria and Madagascar and winner in the category "Best Artist of the Diaspora" at the Abidjan Hip Hop Awards in 2020), the French rapper Ivorian native of Abidjan presents La balade, a new Trap title produced by the French collective Novengitum, presenting the artist in a state of constant brain activity, plunged between dream and reality. Shotto Guapo is a Montreal rapper and lyricist of Franco-Ivorian origin. Born in 1991 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in the 2000s he formed his first music group, Celtics. At 14, Shotto flew to France, where he discovered a love for French rap and punchlines. Over time, his style became established and enriched with new sounds. Shotto is the association of hot and cold! At the same time calm and turbulent, volcanic and icy, reference to his technique of rhythmic punchlines which awaken in his public self-confidence and determination. In 2016 he moved to Montreal, where he performed on several local stages, such as La Releve se Leve (WordUp!), or Les Francouvertes edition 2019, accompanied by his acolyte David Campana. Together, they unveil an 8 titles entitled CE7TE LIFE. Increasingly taking its place on the Rap Quebecois map, his creations are found in the editorial playlists of Spotify and Apple Music and are gaining recognition with local, but also international, specialized media. In 2019, he offers a taste of his next solo project, Ame Nesia, expected for 2020, with catchy and punchy singles like Cendres, Yeyo, Bando and Jamais. Shotto Guapo is mentioned among SOCAN's "Rap Queb" revelations to watch closely for 2020, and he won the "Best Diaspora Artist" category at the Abidjan Hip Hop Awards.
