Jamaica's rigid curfews and lockdowns have had some young persons at home bored and uninspired, but with every unexpected situation something 'viral' might be on the horizon. One such example is the story of Nation Boss, who posted a simple and informal freestyle video to his WhatsApp status update last year that unexpectedly took the screens of users by storm. The 22 year old, who was born in Spanish Town then later migrated to Barbados with his mother, received a call from his cousin soon after he posted it, excitedly saying his video is on the popular Tik Tok social media platform. The call made the artiste, whose real name is Kushilo, ponder in confusion at first as he noted during an interview with The Fix podcast that: "I am not even on Tik Tok". The response to his lyrical delivery, one that hears him sing about the disappointment of humans, was overwhelming, the demands for him to go in studio and voice a professional version of the freestyle clip grew rapidly on several social media platforms and within a year Nation Boss became one of jamaica top artists, make millions of views for every songs he drops ! Following this success the european producer 808 Delavega (Bugle, Beenie Man, Anthony B) made a first collaboration with Nation Boss and Bugle with the song Experience that quickly went viral in Jamaica ! Following this success the producer and the upcoming star teams up again for a new single Don Dada ! A song about the quick rise of the artist and the way he climbs to the top of the charts in Jamaica and abroad, with hard work, constitency, but, as well with an analogy with the gambling, how some circumstances can bring you to the top ! The instrumental by 808 Delavega is a catchy mellow Dancehall beat with some afrobeats touch that make this single very current and a nice crossover between Jamaica, Europe and Africa !
