Tom Casey
The latest EP from singer-producer Tom Casey, Solo marks a defining new course into his own expression of indie pop music. "Solo," the EP's titular track, constructs a careful meditation on the dangers of introspection and isolation. However, the brooding strengths of "Solo" appear to be just one corner of a multi-faceted release that shows Casey pulling together perhaps his most ambitious productions to date. From the anthemic pop rock choruses in "One More Time," to the brooding, explosively cinematic trip-hop balladry of "Beautiful Woman," the EP is perhaps Casey's most exploratory work to date. Rounding out the tracks with "Better," Casey enlists a glossy power pop jam with a fantastic feature from singer-songwriter Kayla Dillon.
