Written with frequent collaborator and New York based producer Stavros, the track embodies everything we've come to love about Ayelle; sultry captivating vocals, clever lyrics and a playful crossover between pop and r&b layered with synth and bouncing 808s. In Ayelle's own words: "I travel a lot for work and it doesn't make for ideal circumstances for anyone who tries to be in a relationship with me. 'Overtime' is about a relationship that wasn't supposed to become anything serious but deciding to keep spending time with each other even though it's inconvenient. When you're not looking for anything serious is usually when it hits you and this song is about those early stages where you decide to give something against all odds because it just feels right."
