'On The Daily' is the first single to be taken from The Brkn Record's debut album, 'The Architecture of Oppression Part 1'. A ground-breaking concept album from Jake Ferguson of The Heliocentrics. It is a critical journey through the eyes of black Britons, blending powerful & sobering narratives with psychedelic & soulful symphonies. 'On The Daily' features the Nigerian born and Chicago based singer-songwriter / poet / racial healing practitioner / educator, Ugochi Nwaogwugwu. Her lyrics paint a picture of daily struggle, where as a black woman, Ugochi finds herself always having to try and explain or name what is happening when people are being passive aggressive or spreading their micro-aggression. Where you as the victim have to explain it, identify it and make people see it. This song brings awareness to the fact that these things are happening to black women everyday, and you have to be strong to survive this - on the daily.
