Ely Swares was born in Geneva in 1991. Of Swiss and Ivorian origin by her father, it is through her mother's roots, located in the Cape Verde Islands, that the young girl takes her first contact with music. Wandering from concerts to rehearsals by her self-taught musician parents, they put a point of honor on the musical education of their daughter. At the age of 4, she already learned music theory at the Geneva Conservatory of Music. At the age of 7, she started piano lessons which she continued for 10 years. Like her idol Alicia Keys, Ely Swares quickly took a liking to singing and playing the piano at the same time, picking up her favorite songs by ear. She composed her first songs at the age of 13.? It is during her high school graduation that Ely Swares discovers Jazz. She will then follow during 3 years singing classes of improvisation but also of lyric singing. She also discovered the world of composition and arrangement by producing a small EP for her graduation work. Since 2013, Ely Swares has participated in many projects as a backup singer. This role allows her to practice her very good musical ear, improvisations and vocal arrangement ideas, but also to collaborate with established artists. In 2016, Patricia decided to devote herself entirely to music, notably by starting a Bachelor's degree at the SAE (Society of Audio Engeneering), and by founding a duo of cover songs and original compositions with Rodrigo Valenzuela, a distinguished guitarist. She will then do several concerts from Geneva to Lyon. She also developed with her mother the duet Beth & Patricia which will lead them to the Atlantic Music Expo to represent Cape Verde, in Rotterdam and in Portugal. It is now as a solo artist that Ely Swares launches this more personal project. ?With the desire to share her universe with the greatest number, the label Evidence Music offers her the opportunity to launch a solo project, authentic and original, linking jazz, soul and African sounds. This is how her album Moments was born. In collaboration with the producers D.Lead and Neya1200 (Ozadya). An album between R&B and Soul tinged with Hip-hop with African influences, it represents the universe of Ely Swares, illustrating the moments of life.
