Born John Treymale Thurmon in the winter of 1991, Vallejo California's own upcoming superstar would later become known to the world as "J. Treymale". As a child growing up in the church, gospel music was J. Treymales first introduction into the music scene and would play a significant role in sparking his musical interests and developing his natural talent's. Bred into a family full of singer's, JT was determined to carve out a spot for himself at the table and carry on his family's tradition. He recalls himself always having music to listen to and would use his adolescent years in the classroom as time for rehearsal. Based in a region where Con Funk Shun and Sly and The Family Stone could've easily been J. Treymales influences, he notes that his mom and aunt were actually his biggest personal influences when it came to music. Aside from his family's influence, Treymales favorite artist as a result of growing up in the church has been John P. Kee since the age of 4. Being raised in church and only listening to gospel music in the car made JT's desire to listen to R&B music grow even stronger. On his search for R&B expansion, his ears would initially find the tunes of Michael Jackson and eventually Stevie Wonder and Luther Vandross who would help him develop a love for music that had meaning and purpose outside of a strong melody. Though at some point in life he had thoughts of becoming a chef, which would have been an easier career path, he couldn't deny that creating music is what he loves to do and would essentially become his only option. His love for music and belief in himself would lead him to attend and graduate from Berklee College of Music where he focused on songwriting. Artists such as Tank, Musiq, Anthony Hamilton, Jasmine Sullivan and more, inspired him to write and sing from the soul. Treyamales goal with his music is to capture and convey his most honest and vulnerable moments of his life from his past and the present. Speaking in his truth has given him the opportunity and ability to bring his listeners into his world, captivating each soul one at a time. In 2017, J. Treymale signed a record deal with Haterproof Entertainmet which is a multi-genre record company based in Northern California. His first single "I Ain't Thinkin Bout You" from his upcoming album "Deposits and Withdrawals" is set to be released by the label June 23rd 2017.
