Bayalien Sound System
Bayalien Sound System's fifth release is another 3-tracker, rooted in dubstep and hip hop. The beats consist of chopped up vocals, melodic grooves, and sublow bass lines - system ready. The title track begins with a maniacal pitched-down guitar sample accompanied by distorted rap vocals. The bass drop is a club shaking hoover that will move bass bins, beer bottles, and partygoer booty's. The next track, "You Were Down" is a perfect post-club, wind down tune. It's filled with melodic filtered keys, beautiful soul vocals, and an 808 bass line that fits perfectly among the minimal dub drums. The closer, "Work", is also accompanied by stuttered vocals and other worldly sounding keys and effects. The tune drops into a classic wobbly bass line that sums up Bayalien's love for deep dubstep.
