Lonely NowLOVER
LOVER has been creating significant hype in the UK and Europe following his debut releases 'Look What I Got' and 'Trick of the Light' last year. The emerging artist has gone on to sell-out shows in Berlin, London's Sebright Arms and by: Larm in Oslo with his icy, pop-leaning R&B - whilst picking up tastemaker acclaim from EARMILK and CLASH Magazine and sizeable Spotify streaming numbers.
'Lonely Now' continues the evolution of LOVER's sound: a warm, 80s-inducing synth instrumental that acts as a perfectly balanced, exotic foil for the young Norwegian's burnished falsetto. Produced by Brady Daniel-Smith from Anna of the North, it's an assured continuation into a genre of pop that's both sophisticated and considered - and underlines LOVER as a truly enigmatic, inventive new artist.
LOVER continues his ascent into the pop mainstream as a bonafide one to watch. Speaking on the track, he states: "It's easy to think that being lonely is about physical space, but it's almost the opposite. I'd rather be crossing the Atlantic in a kayak than laying next to someone who doesn't see me."
