Biography: Sister Nya, whose real name is Nyara Badiane, is an artist from Casamance (Ziguinchor). She evolves in musical genres in all their diversity. Singing from a very young age, but this desire to want to share her musical passion came to her in 2007 in Dakar. In 2008, she returned to Ziguinchor (her hometown) from where she evolved solo with the release of her first single at the end of the year. In 2009, she released 3 singles including one featuring P-Star. In 2015, she returned to Dakar for a 3-year training in music at the Maison des Cultures in Dakar. After this training, she had to share her experience with music actors with her participation in shows and festivals in Dakar, in the regions and the sub-region. She had to participate with big names in music like Alpha Blondy, Daaray Mbed, Dj Awadi, Xuman, Simon in the following programs: Kanilay Festival (Gambia) in 2010, FESMAN (2010), Zig Fest (2016). In 2019, she participated in Thione Seck's album.
