KarmalienPlurthlings
"Karmalien" explores the soulful dubstep sounds emanating from the bass capital of the universe, Denver, Colorado, which is also home to the electronic music duo known as Plurthlings. This particular style of rocky mountain riddim is created by melting down vintage blues samples into wonky sci-fi synths as the soundtrack to a new cosmic adventure. The standout track and lead single, "Faded City" is a prime showcase for the analog guitars and crunchy pianos that fuse together into heavy digital rave basslines. The album starts right in the middle of the action with distorted power chords building into the slamming bass drop of "No Mercy". The second song, "Hit Em" goes even further with bombastic brass announcing the arrival of the dirty bass wobbling somewhere off in the distance. "Champion" blends glitched-out piano chords with soulful female vocal samples that combine together for a unique vibe. The fourth track, "Leaving Tomorrow" has a vision of making a difference in the bass music scene while still staying true to the weirdest of sounds. Don't miss the second drop of this gem. The piano and guitar samples of "Faded City" make this track stand out amongst all the bass-heavy tracks to choose from. Those crunchy riffs and smooth chord structures give it that melodic and harmonic musical content that most dubstep tracks lack. This is what riddim sounds like with a little bit of that Colorado soul. "Alone in the Dark" is easily one of Plurthlings most raucous tunes yet. As the vocals build into a rave crescendo, a relentless riddim beat takes over and you have no choice but to start headbanging into the groove. No doubt that this track will be a bass festival favorite for many years. The second to last track, "Change of Plans" starts out with orchestral strings and instrumentation building into the heaviest and lowest bass drop on the entire album. "Never Give Up" brings the album back full circle, ending with rocking and distorted guitar solos transforming into slamming rhythms and basshits. PLURTH is stoked to share this new LP album with you! It will be out on all platforms on Friday, April 17th, 2020. Look out for all the single song deluxe EPs with Original Mix, Dynamic Mix, Studio Acapellas, and Instrumentals too.
